OAAOM is a unified organization which both protects our scope of practice and builds a supportive community of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine practitioners. The AOM profession is board regulated and it is at the state level that practice statues are written. A strong state association is necessary to protect and further our profession and our medicine. There are approximately 1000 LAcs currently registered in Oregon. By coming together, we can be a powerful voice for the medicine we practice, while recognizing the need for diversity.

Member dues make it possible to support lobbying efforts for our scope of practice. Our Annual Conference and other events offer inexpensive educational CEU opportunities. Administrative expenses include a part-time administrative assistant, communication services, website and a monthly newsletter.Your contributions to the OAAOM will help us make acupuncture and Oriental medicine more visible and available to the public in Oregon.
