Ethics for CAM Providers presented by Peter Martin, LAc, LM: CAM providers are noted for the strength of their relationships with patients. A strong ethical foundation builds effective and safe healing relationships. This 2-hour program will provide a comprehensive review of ethics with a special focus on the uniqueness of complementary and alternative medicine.

Get Ready for ICD-10 presented by Dr. Charles Simpson: On October 1, 2013, the familiar ICD-9 codes will go away and be replaced by the 68,000 diagnosis codes of ICD-10. This will affect every aspect of your practice: how you classify your patient’s condition, how you document your diagnosis, and how you will use the new codes in billing, practice management applications and communication. This 2-hour segment is designed to raise your awareness and help you prepare an implementation plan for this significant change.

  • October 8/9, 2011 –  Dai Mai (Belt Channel) Qigong & Qigong TuiNa - This powerful qigong activates the Belt Channel located around the waist. Once the Belt Channel is activated, Qi starts to flow freely and expands. This will help conditions such as: constipation, weight control, fibrocystic breasts, and all gynecological and digestive issues.  The highlight of this form occurs, as the Dai Mai’s energy builds and spirals out, forming an energetic cocoon that provides protection from diseases and radiation that constantly bombard us in our world. Held in Seattle.
  • November 12/13, 2011 – Qigong TuiNa for ChildrenAccording to ancient Chinese medicine, the internal organs of a child continue to develop after birth. In this system of healing, the primary modality for treating children is Qigong and Qigong TuiNa (massage). Children are able to receive and sense Qi easily. This weekend workshop will introduce you to protocols to maintain overall well-being and improve childhood issues such as: hyperactivity, food allergies, digestive disorders, night terrors, and autism. Held in Portland.
  • December 3/4, 2011 – Internal Alchemy for Women – As the winter months bring cold and darkness, it is the time for us to make a fire in our homes to bring warmth and light. Our bodies also require an internal flame to ignite the spirit, the organ systems and keep us warm. Nudan (Internal Alchemy for Women) practice provides this igniting and helps stabilize emotions. For younger women, Nudan provides a way to conserve energy while it is still strong. For older women, Nudan provides a means to restore and rejuvenate their energy from the damages received in daily life. These practices empower each woman by connecting themselves to their true nature and live a life of abundance, gratitude and harmony. Held in Portland.
