2011 Spring Conference
Thank you conference participants and sponsors! Over 100 LAcs attending on this beautiful, sunny day!
To those who are members of OAAOM and attended this weekend’s annual meeting and conference, you know it was an excellent day topped by beautiful weather. Congratulations to all those who worked so hard.
To those acupuncturists who are not members but get to see this letter please reconsider joining. This organization has had an amazing history with its typical ups and downs. Those of you who have gone through divorce know any relationship can be rocky. During such an event however, if you were paying attention, one receives many lessons to learn and gain strength from to move forward and grow even stronger. Your state organization has done just this.
Everyone who has ever served on our board has given their best. Just as your patients grow and may find need of a different practitioner, at times, we have needed to grow, rethink and change as our needs have changed. The recent boards have absolutely out-shone themselves in dedication, vision, persistence and love for us and our practices. We all need to support this organization and each board that serves. (Perhaps your would consider participating yourself).
Our practices are now facing a particular challenge from the Chiropractic board and their practitioners. Our board has been very active to stay on top of this. We have an amazing lobbyist, Steven Kafoury who has also assisted us above and beyond, since our inception. We must all stay informed and assist our board to navigate these troubled waters. We can do this but we must do this together. And we cannot leave our fates to others to determine. We have come too far.
Please join OAAOM today. Listen, comment – even if you disagree. We need to hear from all of you to do the best we can for you. We need you now, we need you always so we all continue to grow and stay strong.
Sincerely,
Carol Greismeyer, LAc, RN
