License Renewal

The renewal process for AC’s started in mid April 2010.  The Oregon Medical Board mailed a reminder to all AC’s on or about April 4, 2010.  Our records show that we had mailed 1000 plus reminders to all applicable AC’s.  To date less than 400 have applied for renewal.  To date we have renewed and mailed licenses to 328 AC’s.

If not renewed by June 30, 2010, the license will lapse and a late fee will be assessed in addition to the renewal fee.

Portland Needles Make National News

UPDATE:

The NYTimes “A Moment in Time” collection has been published.  Check it out  A Moment in Time interactive gallery – Earth, covered by stacks of thousands of virtual photographs, corresponding in location to where they were taken by Lens readers at one “Moment in Time” (15:00 U.T.C., Sunday, May 2).

I want to let you all know that a photo of the needle on Mt Tabor will be a part of the NYTimes “A Moment in Time” collection to be published Tuesday evening online. People worldwide were asked to photograph something close to their lives (what’s closer than water?), at exactly the same time all over the world. Mt Tabor is close to my home and immediately sprang to mind as a good photo location.

I’ve walked almost every day on Mt. Tabor this spring, but hadn’t been there for a couple of weeks and was totally surprised by the needle poking out of the ground next to the reservoir on Sunday morning at exactly 8AM when I took this shot. It was sent a couple of hours later, along with as clear an explanation as I could write.

I love the installation. I think it clearly illustrates my feelings towards our wonderful open reservoirs. Thank you very much for such a lovely surprise.
