Starting as snow on Mt. Hood, collected at Bull Run and flowing by gravity alone 30 miles to these reservoirs, this water keeps Portland alive. Currently there is controversy over how best to protect the quality and safety of the drinking water supply –– whether to cover these reservoirs or leave them open where UV radiation from sunlight naturally keeps the water clean. In addition, Portland needs to reduce water consumption in every way possible to meet the demands of its growing population.

Steady progress is being made to reduce hazardous chemical and waste overflows into the river, but there is still more to be done. Business Description: MPT is a method for treating pain and pain related conditions that employs the use of a micro-current device on tight and or tender areas. The machine is an ETPS 1000. This is the “M” portion of MPT. “P” stands for positional which means that the body is placed into various positions which encourage a stretch of the affected area in order to set the stage for a more significant release of tight and restricted soft tissue. “T” stands for Tuina, or a form of Chinese massage. In this context however, the tuina is more of a gentle stretching of tissue that again, encourages a more significant, longer-lasting release of tight musculature to occur. This methodology has been developed by Malvin Finkelstein, L.Ac, a highly experienced and well-respected Acupuncturist based in Eugene. MPT is done along with acupuncture usually before or after the Acuouncture. I primarily treat pain and pain related conditions and find this method of treatment to be very effective.
